Diabetes film series

A new series of educational videos about managing Type 1 Diabetes and its challenges

Meet the stars of the Children’s Diabetes Centre's series of educational videos which look at how young people manage type 1 diabetes.

Their stories help to profile the research the centre is doing to address the questions raised and challenges children and parents face in managing the highs and lows of having a child with type 1 diabetes.

The Children's Diabetes Centre, based at The Kids Research Institute Australia and Perth Children's Hospital, is the only paediatric research centre of its kind in Australia and aims to improve the lives of children with type 1 diabetes. In WA, about 160 children are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes every year, and the number is increasing.

The Centre was established in 2015 by a Centre for Research Excellence (CRE) grant from the National Health and Medical Research Council and JDRF Australia.
