Adolescent Transition Information Evening

Perth Children’s Hospital’s Diabetes Clinic is holding an Adult Transition Information Evening for young people with type 1 diabetes on Wednesday June 19.

Perth Children’s Hospital’s Diabetes Clinic is holding an Adult Transition Information Evening for young people with diabetes on Wednesday, June 19.

Have you ever wondered?

  • What hospital will I be transferred to?
  • What service do they provide?
  • How is this decided?
  • Should I go public or private?
  • How can I prepare?
  • Can I just see my GP?

Professor Liz Davis, head of the diabetes department and co-director of the Children’s Diabetes Centre, said the evening was an opportunity for young people with diabetes to learn about life after PCH.

“Meet members of the team from tertiary hospitals and liaise with other diabetes service providers throughout Perth,” she said.

“There will also be time for any questions you may have for your future healthcare providers.”

The evening will be held in the hospital’s auditorium on level 5.

RSVPs close May 31. For more information or to RSVP, please view the flyer.
