News from the Diabetes Service:
- Perth Children’s Hospital’s Diabetes Service will start conducting clinics at Armadale Hospital next year. The new clinics are part of the Diabetes Service’s Outreach program to deliver multidisciplinary diabetes care to remote, regional and outer metropolitan areas. The service will offer specialist care closer to home including face-to-face time with a paediatric endocrinologist, diabetes nurse educator, diabetes dietitian and a social worker. The clinic will cater for approximately 40 families that live in the Armadale area and selected families have been contacted by the clinic coordinator.
- PCH’s Diabetes Service’s Thursday morning clinics will be moved to Monday mornings in 2020. All patients will be notified by post or email so keep an eye out for information on the changes.
