Become a Research Buddy
Ever wanted to be involved in type 1 diabetes research studies, but never knew how to get started or never had time before but now do?
The Rio Tinto Children's Diabetes Centre is looking to create a database of children, parents, siblings and grandparents who are interested in being a Research Buddy.
This is different to being a participant. A Research Buddy is an individual who partners with researchers to work on specific projects. They help plan, undertake and share our research, such as reviewing research protocols and information sheets given to families participating in the study.
Their lived experience helps researchers ensure the research project is relevant and creates value for children living with type 1 diabetes. Time commitment varies from project to project, but you will receive an Honorarium payment to acknowledge your contribution.
