Congratulations to Dr Sabrina Binkowski from Rio Tinto Children's Diabetes Centre, who was awarded the ANZSPED research grant award of $20,000, at the recent Australia and New Zealand Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (ANZSPED) international conference in Victoria.
The grant will go towards her project: Clinical outcomes in culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) youth with type 1 diabetes in Western Australia.
"The research project is about exploring the glycaemic outcomes across communities from different cultural backgrounds in a population sample of children with T1D in WA with the aim to identify CaLD groups at-risk and to develop appropriate cultural resources with consumer input and to share the resources nationally," said Sabrina.
