The Rio Tinto Children’s Diabetes Centre has recently commenced an exciting new project to integrate diabetes data from different sources so that it can be used more effectively to help people living with diabetes. The DiabHQ project will bring together data that is currently housed in separate silos to create an integrated data repository that can be accessed by patients and families, clinicians and researchers via different portals.

  • The patient portal will assist patients and families in self-management
  • The clinical portal will help clinicians to optimise clinical care
  • The research portal will accelerate diabetes research and discovery

The patient portal - have your say!

We’ve started the process of community consultation to understand how the patient portal could help you to manage your child’s or your own diabetes more easily and effectively. We’d like to hear from as many patients and parents as possible to make sure that the solution meets your needs.

Have your say on the priorities for the patient portal and register your interest by following this link: https://redcap.link/Patient_Portal

If you’d like more information about the patient portal or any other aspect of the DiabHQ project, please email community@childrensdiabetesresearch.org.au.
