Education gets reel for patients

PMH’s Endocrinology and Diabetes team has paired up with production company Barking Wolf to create a series of educational films for patients and their families

Princess Margaret Hospital’s Endocrinology and Diabetes team has paired up with production company Barking Wolf to create a series of educational films for patients and their families.

Filming took place in PMH’s diabetes clinic recently, with some obliging patients and parents working with the technical crew under the watchful eye of Senior Diabetes Coordinator Luise Russell.

The films will focus on diabetes treatment and management and feature ‘how to’ demonstrations on topics including insulin administration and pump site changes. Younger patients, in particular, will enjoy an animated short that helps newly diagnosed patients understand what to expect.
