Would you like the opportunity to trial a new insulin pump?
We are looking for participants aged 7 – 17 years old, living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) to participate in a study using an investigational Minimed/Medtronic insulin pump. New pump, with control app on a Smartphone.
We want to evaluate the safety of this new automated insulin delivery system (called NMX8 system). In addition to automatically dosing basal and correction insulin, the pump's new algorithm can also provide insulin to cover meals.
Here is a look:

How long will you be in the study?
Initially, about 4-5 months, but you can stay in the study for about a year, using the same study devices. During the first 4-5 months, there are 12 visits (more than half from home). During the added study time, visits are every 3 months.
What’s important for you to know?
- You will need to use the devices as instructed
- You could be randomised to do different things during the first 4-5 months:
- Give a meal bolus for all of your meals
- Don’t give a meal bolus for any of your meals
- Decide when you want to give a meal bolus (this will also apply during the added study time)
