Doctors are urging parents not to risk their child becoming seriously ill by avoiding taking them to hospital or a GP surgery because of coronavirus.
Perth Children’s Hospital has experienced a huge drop in the number of children being diagnosed with type one diabetes over the past month.
And Professor Liz Davis, head of endocrinology and diabetes at PCH, said she feared there were children getting increasingly sick at home because they were not being taken to see a doctor.
