New study: Low carbohydrate diets in the management of type 1 diabetes

We are looking for parents/carers of young children with type 1 diabetes aged 10yrs or younger to participate in focus groups to share their experiences of how they implement low-carb diets and what benefits they find in managing their child’s diabetes.

Some families are reporting restricting carbohydrate-containing foods to help manage their child’s blood glucose levels.

We are hoping to learn from parents and carers about how they implement low-carbohydrate diets and the benefits they find in managing their child’s type 1 diabetes.

Who can participate?

We are looking for parents and carers of children with type 1 diabetes (aged 10 years or younger) who are currently implementing a low-carbohydrate diet or have tried to limit foods or drinks containing carbohydrate within the past 6 months.

What does participation involve?

Online focus groups will be conducted with small groups of parents/caregivers to share their experiences and knowledge on low-carbohydrate diets in the management of their child’s type 1 diabetes.

How can I find out more?
