Medtronic 780G Exciting News!
Medtronic have announced the release of the new Medtronic pump – the 780G with Smartguard features. It is an advanced hybrid closed loop system that uses a new algorithm when in automode that includes autocorrections every 5 mins if necessary as well as adjustable targets of 5.5mmol/L, 6.1mmol/L or 6.7 mmol/L. To access auto features you will need to be using the GL3 sensor with bluetooth capability.
If you are already on the Medtronic 770G and using the GL3 sensor a software update will be available to you in the new year - dates and process still to be confirmed. The new 780G pump will be available relatively soon after.
