Evaluation of the DS5 performance over a fifteen-day wear period study.
Researchers from the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) and the Kids Research Institute Australia (The Kids) want to see how a continous glucose monitoring (CGM) system that is not yet approved for sale in Australia, compares to YSI bedside analyser glucose readings.
For this study you/your child will wear two to four sensors on the arm for fifteen days and to attend the Research Unit at PCH on three separate allocated days:
Day 1: Consent and study familiarisation
One hypo-induction day (randomised)
One hyper-induction day (randomised)
Day 15: Sensor removal and study completion
Hypo- and hyper-induction days may be combined with Day 1
