A new series of educational films has been released for newly diagnosed Type 1 Diabetes patients and their families.
The series focuses on diabetes treatment and management and features ‘how to’ demonstrations on topics including insulin administration, testing blood glucose levels and pump site changes.
Younger patients, in particular, will enjoy an animated short that helps newly diagnosed patients understand what diabetes is and what to expect.
The resources were made with assistance from Perth Children's Hospital’s Endocrinology and Diabetes team and families.
