Researchers from the Children's Diabetes Centre at The Kids Institute Australia (The Kids) are looking for healthy adults aged 18 – 60 years to be involved in a new study investigating the action of one dose of oral semaglutide and tirzepatide.
Semaglutide and tirzepatide are medications used in type 2 diabetes (T2D) management and can also help with weight loss. We want to see how a single dose of semaglutide or tirzepatide in a capsule form will affect blood glucose and insulin responses in healthy adults.
These medications are currently only available as a subcutaneous injection, and this study is an important step towards an alternative oral capsule treatment for patients.
Who can participate in the study?
Healthy adults aged 18-60 with no medical conditions.
Why are we asking you?
We are asking you to take part in this study because we need to test it in people without diabetes first.
