NEW STUDY: Physical Activity Assessment Questionnaires for youth with type 1 diabetes.

The Diabetes Research Team of the Department of Endocrinology is looking at identifying a questionnaire that we can use in clinic to measure and understand the types of physical activity, young people with type 1 diabetes, are involved in.

Who can participate?

We are looking for:

  • Children and adolescents aged 8-17 years
  • Who have type 1 diabetes

What does participation involve?

Participants will be provided an accelerometer, a small device worn around the waist, that monitors physical activity levels. They will then wear the accelerometer for the next seven days. After the seventh day, they will complete three questionnaires online which should take about 15 minutes. Information regarding the fitting of the accelerometer and questionnaire instructions will be provided to participants.
