**Health insurance changes**
New private health insurance changes come into effect on April 1 so now is the time to ensure you have the appropriate level of cover if you or a family uses an insulin pump or are considering pump therapy.
The new tier system means only ‘gold’ insurance policies cover insulin pumps.
Check with your insurer about how the changes will affect your existing policy and whether you may need to move to a higher level.
**Medtronic 670G**
The Medtronic 670G semi closed loop system with Guardian Sensor 3 has received approval from the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
**Loan pump**
People interested in using a Tandem T:Slimx2 pump will receive a loan pump while they serve out a mandatory wait period.
They will be offered an Animas Vibe as a loan pump in the interim.
