Meet Sophie – she's Australia's first participant in the multi-site Advanced Hybrid Closed Loop study.
Sophie has type 1 diabetes and will be the first person in this Australian-wide study to trial the latest advanced pump technology.
Our researchers are looking for young people with type 1 diabetes with a HbA1c above 9% to be involved.
We want to see if using the Advanced Hybrid Closed Loop system will improve time in range and HbA1c in this group.
To be in this study, you need to be:
• Aged 12 – 25 years
• Using an insulin pump already
• Have your past two HbA1c above 9%
