Thank you Greenbushes!

The tiny south west town of Greenbushes has again proved it has a big heart when it comes to raising funds for charity following the hosting of its sixth annual Fun Run and Mountain Bike Event recently.

The tiny south west town of Greenbushes has again proved it has a big heart when it comes to raising funds for charity following the hosting of its sixth annual Fun Run and Mountain Bike Event recently.

The family-friendly event, which has raised $50,000 since its inception, saw 275 locals commit to a 15km mountain bike ride, a 10km run or a 5km run/walk/ride through a forest course surrounding the town.

Event organiser Leanne Green, from Grow Greenbushes Incorporated, said the group decided to raise funds for paediatric diabetes research at The Kids Research Institute Australia because the disease affected a number of local families.

The other beneficiary was Breast Cancer Network Australia.

Thank you for your generosity Greenbushes!
