In a world-first, WA researchers are trying to stop type 1 diabetes from developing in very young children by picking up red flags before symptoms appear.

Children's Diabetes Centre scientists, based at The Kids Research Institute Australia, are examining the use of continuous glucose monitoring in babies and toddlers at high risk of developing type 1 diabetes because of a family history.
