The recent Centre of Research Excellence in Type 1 Diabetes workshop provided a great opportunity for diabetes researchers to get together in the one venue to showcase their exciting work.
The 60 attendees included researchers from PMH and The Kids Research Institute Australia alongside collaborators from interstate paediatric and local adult hospitals, in addition to parents of patients with Type 1 Diabetes.
Presentations looked at diet and exercise, diabetes technology and ways to translate diabetes research into practice.
A highlight of the event, now in its third year, was brainstorming ways in which translation could be applied to the team’s research and how new technologies could improve patient care.
