We look for the best and brightest to join diabetes research. 

About us

The Rio Tinto Children's Diabetes Centre, based at The Kids Research Institute Australia (The Kids) and Perth Children's Hopsital (PCH), is the first JDRF Global Centre of Excellence in Diabetes Research outside of North America. The goal is to improve the lives of children and young adults living with diabetes by bringing together research, education and clinical care.

The Perth team collaborates with world-class researchers, clinicians, investigators and the diabetes community from around Australia and internationally to accelerate access to world-first studies, trials and the latest research results from around the globe.

Scholarships

Scholarships are granted on a competitive basis to outstanding candidates:

  • PhD Top-up ($15,000pa for up to 3 years) APPLY HERE
  • Capacity Building (up to $5,000 for a single activity) APPLY HERE
  • Honours or Masters ($5,000) APPLY HERE

*Both paediatric and adult T1D proposals will be considered
